There is a photo of the Plough Inn taken in 2006 here Image and the newly renovated premises here Image Recent correspondence (November 2012) informs me that the Plough Inn is due to reopen in March 2013 after a 6 year project of renewal. I look forward to the pint that awaits me at that time. There is an old connection with the Tynedale Beagles, which for a time were kennelled locally http://heddonhistory.weebly.com/1/post/2012/07/heddon-beagles.html One of their supporters, David Leslie, recalls enjoying an after-hours drink in the Plough Inn at Eachwick, when the police turned up. He notes: "There was hell on, but what the police did not know was that the chief constable of Northumberland, a keen beagler, had only just left the pub. For some reason, we heard nothing more!” http://www.hexhamcourant.co.uk/sport/hunting-down-the-history-of-tynedale-s-beagle-profession-1.690992
