A most impressive building, curved in the middle to follow the road. It rests on rather elegant tapered piloti, above which are "frankly expressed concrete decks" (though probably not as frankly now as they once were). Built 1972 to the designs of J.W. Hammond. Finding an alternative use for such a huge building would always be a challenge, but, thankfully, one has been found: it is currently a MacDonald hotel. View from the other end: Image
