View northward, near the site of Manley station, which closed to passengers in 5/1875 - less than six years after the line was opened - but to goods only in 3/61, the line itself lasting until 9/91 mainly for traffic between Birkenhead via Hooton to Stockport and Godley Junction by the Cheshire Lines (CLC. The Class D freight depicted is headed by Stanier 5MT 2-6-0 No. 42968 (built 1934 as No. 13268, withdrawn 8/65). However, this engine was preserved and is one of the Severn Valley Railway fleet.
