Taken a little after sunset in mid-January. The ducks are standing on a sheet of ice, just below the surface of the water. The tallest of the trees looks to me like a beech, but the three (or four) to its right are alders - identifiable by their rather conifer-like outline. After posting an image taken with a different camera, I realised that it reminded me of the vignettes you find in Edwardian natural history books. I like this shot as it seems to have even more of that quality.
