Relic of a former railway bridge, Pontrilas

There was formerly a railway bridge across the A465 here. It carried a branch line, the Golden Valley line, to Hay-on-Wye from a junction with the main line here in Pontrilas. Pontrilas railway station closed in 1964. Passenger services had ceased stopping at the station in 1958.
