Footpath from Cliff Drive to the Promenade. One of ten or so chines in Poole Bay; chine is a local name for a steep-sided former river valley leading to the coast. This chine seems to have two branches, which meet near the sea. There are also chines in Devon, Hampshire (where the term bunny is also used), and the Isle of Wight.
