Another view of Image; the sandstone ashlar looks a little less grim in the winter sun. The building dates from 1849, as the keystone inscription over the door states http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-93006-town-hall-including-area-railings-at-fron . Intentionally taken with the red car to hide a figure sitting on the steps.
