Pabo Hall has a commanding location on the side of the hill, at the end of Pabo Lane. It dates from 1866 and was the seat of the Brooke family. It has recently been refurbished as a single residence after occupancy as a series of flats. The grade 2 listed clock tower is just visible. Like many buildings of its size and age, Pabo Hall was used during WWII as a prisoner of war camp, No.119 which housed No.101 Italian Labour Battalion as well as many others of various nationalities.
