I went on a tour of the publicly accessible part of the dockyard in 2002 from a ship on a round Britain cruise. Tucked away between two buildings and with the rope walk in the background we found this duplex engine that I think drove a capstan and was run on compressed air. A further example was found in an indoor exhibition area. There is also a working hangman's drop in the same range of buildings. I must scan some images from this trip.
