Hythe station is on the Colchester to Clacton line. For a short time in the early 90s a stone train ran to the former coal discharge point at Hythe. The locomotive off this service pictured, runs forward to access the crossover situated behind the loco. These stone workings were quite spasmodic and only ran for a short time.
