A substantial former watermill on the Exe. Rebuilt in 1886 on the site of the Higher Woollen Mills. It worked as a mill until 1958 and was powered by a large Poncelet type waterwheel built by the local firm of Taylor & Bodley. The wheel is now gone and the mill appears partly disused. This is an unusual angle but there were no signs to suggest that I was trespassing and I did not explore any further in this direction.
