In the spring of 1978 Cravens-built diesel multiple unit set No TS418, based in Tyseley, Birmingham calls at Bromsgrove station with a Birmingham New St to Worcester Shrub Hill service.. At the time of the photograph this station had a single platform and down trains had to cross to the up line to pick up and set down passengers. Note the derelict buildings of the former wagon works, which were demolished soon after the picture was taken.
