The 12.15 Liverpool Lime Street to Birmingham New Street is headed by Stanier 'Jubilee' 6P 4-6-0 No. 45708 'Resolution' (built 6/36, withdrawn 2/64). Electric services on the line from Lime Street to Crewe began 10 days after this.
