Nestled among the gaudy shop displays and anodyne concrete of the city's shopping centre is a church. Following the destruction of the area during the war and the subsequent redevelopment, most Baptists moved out of the centre except for this one. Sterling efforts by Revd. R.W. Waddelow (1946-1954) and Revd. J. Penry Davies (1956-1973) helped to establish the church in such a new environment. See Image] to put the church in context.
