Taken from an Up express on the WCML, the view is SW, towards Wigan, Warrington, Crewe and the South. Coppull Ring Mill is prominent in the background as Stanier 5MT 4-6-0 No. 45494 (built 1944, withdrawn 9/67) brings a Class J freight along the Down Slow line.
