View northward, towards Sheffield: ex-GC Sheffield Victoria - Nottingham - Leicester London main line (closed 1966). The line was taken over by the LMR in 1958, so this express is headed by two Stanier 5MT 4-6-0s, No. 45335 (built 1937, withdrawn 7/65) and No. 44868 (built 1945, withdrawn 5/68).
