The Fiveways Hotel is adjacent but it doesn't seem likely that the confluence of four roads at these traffic lights would have been named for the hotel/pub. Rather, I fancy, the road now called Cavendish Road would at some time in the past, maybe when it was little more than a farm track, would have met up here with the others, before the shopping development on Dean Lane diverted its end onto Dean Lane.
