This large country house (large for Wales anyway) is called The Pentre and dates from the Georgian period. It was the home of several important landowning families until the 1980's and was refurbished in the 1990's and is still a private home. Viewed from the Brecon Road, the busy A40. The hill behind it is the Rholben.
