By Birchall & Kelly, 1889, with attic added by the Leeds School Board's architect, William Landless, c1890. The top does look as if the architects didn't know how to finish and wanted to keep adding bits on stop. Still, quite an impressive effort in red brick and stone with giant Ionic pilasters. Grade II listed. In 1994-95 it was converted into council offices by the Leeds Design Consultancy.
