View westward, towards Llandudno Junction, Bangor and Holyhead; ex-LNW Chester - Holyhead main line. The locomotive was Stanier 5MT 4-6-0 No. 44863 (built 1945, withdrawn 5/67). (Shotton High Level was on the ex-GC Bidston - Wrexham line, which is seen crossing on the left).
