A tree grows above a tall stone wall, a remnant of a railway bridge. It was located at the edge of Risca station, at the junction for Nine Mile Point and stations north. Risca station closed in 1962. The present (2011) station, named Risca & Pontymister, http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1749458 opened in February 2008. It is about 700 metres away.
