Dedicated to St Mary Magdalene, the church dates from the 14th century although it was greatly altered and extended in the 19th century to reflect Lillington's status as a growing suburb of Leamington Spa. Records show, however, that a chapel here was granted to the monks of Kenilworth, to provide them with an income, in 1121.
