When I worked in the Estates Department at the hospital, we received a call from nursing staff that a snake was outside the Macmillan Unit. I went along with my line manager to investigate and we discovered this small adder (the daisies give an idea of scale) on a narrow strip of grass. We decided that the best plan was just to let it go its own way and we never heard anymore about it.
