A field which has the misfortune to be just in England. It has a public footpath cut across it. The joke is that it is unlawful to go into such a field in Scotland, but by some quirk of legislation, this arable land is open under the Countryside and Rights of Way Act - as if it were moorland. It must have been a common once, but every time I have passed this way it has been arable. Stuff the Law - keep to the path here!
