Oak Hill Gardens was built on the site of what was Walthamstow Wind Mill which was blown over in 1800. Windmill cottages remained there though until 1899 when they were demolished to make way for the Woodford New Road. Oak hill gardens was built in 1920, but obviously these Georgian Style Housing were built much later.
