Robert Tothill was a former Senior Clerk of the Privy Seal to King George II, Justice of the Peace for the counties of Wiltshire, Middlesex, and Kent, and Governor of the hospitals of Christ, St Thomas and St Bartholomew. He died in 1731 and lies buried beneath, alongside his wife Olive who died in 1758. Their monument by Peter Scheemakers shows two free-standing busts on a sarcophagus with two putti on the outside, left and right.
