Located on the west bank of the River Severn which is about 500 metres wide at this point, with extensive mud and sand banks. The steel telescope is The Millennium Marker. http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1727562 The Severn Bore http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/369764 can be seen from here. It is usually at its most spectacular at spring tides around the spring and autumn equinoxes.
