This railway bridge carries the Wolverhampton to Birmingham New Street and London Euston line over the Bilston Road. The Midland Metro passing under the bridge offers an alternative but much slower route into Birmingham Snow Hill. This bridge was replaced as the spindly cast iron columns would have been very vulnerable to impact damage.
