Unseasonal Whins

There is a saying, "When the whin's not in flower, courting is out of fashion", and indeed I expect to find the odd whin flower at any time of year. However this is the sort of shot you expect to get in May, not on Guy Fawkes Day in November. Quite a lot of the whins by the side of the track were in full flower today. I am not sure whether that is the result of recent summery weather, or the result of late new growth from bushes almost destroyed in the hard winter of 2010/2011.
