The college buildings date from 1856-57, and were designed by W.G. & E. Habershon. Gothic with diapered brick aplenty. The hexagonal section with a pretty lantern was the library. Grade II listed. The stone giant, built about a hundred years later, is one of Richard Seifert & Partners's more prosaic designs.
