The seawall is now covered with shingle and a wall has been added along its top as a extra measure to stop the sea flooding the land. The white-painted buildings are situated in Marine Parade with the further terrace separated from the nearer by St Nicholas Road. In the far distance is the former water tower, built by the Littlestone Water Company in the 1880s.
