The interior of St Andrew's church, South Croydon, has been transformed into a contemporary worship space: worship here is in the Anglo-Catholic style. The photo is taken from the top of the new "theatre style" raked seating. A new stone altar fits well with some of the more interesting original features that have been retained, such as the rood screen. The chancel (beyond the screen) is now used as a meeting room. The architect was Graham Doyle of Lee Evans partnership of Canterbury. The reordered church was to be officially reopened on St Andrew's Day (30 November) 2011.
