Part of the inscription on the headstone nearest the camera reads as follows: Here lies the Corps of Mary Paton Spouse to William Marshal Weaver in Craigrothie who died the 14th Febr 1755 aged 49 years also the Corps of the said William Marschal who died the 14th Decr 1756 aged (??)
