A dispersal sale of farm machinery at High Dyke Farm conducted by Cheffins, well known for their Cambridge machinery sales. In this shot the auctioneer rides along the machinery line in the back of a truck giving him a commanding view of potential bidders. Alongside him are a couple of colleagues, one taking telephone bids and the other, equipped with a lap top and on line receives live e-bids. A small camera is pointed at the sale item so that the e bidder can see the "lot" in real time. It's a bit of a farce when £100 incremental bids stagger along between the e-bidder and a bidder in the sale field. It makes for a bit of entertainment.
