The old Pavilion Building and West End Garage were demolished in 2003 and permission was granted for a major development of 62 apartments. However the project was abandoned in 2008 and the land repossessed by the bank. The site remains a derelict eyesore on the promenade with little prospect of further progress. http://www.caernarfonherald.co.uk/caernarfon-county-news/local-caernarfon-news/tm_headline=developer-scraps-plans-for-62-flats-at-pwllheli-pavilion%26method=full%26objectid=22243801%26siteid=88817-name_page.html
