Perth City Hall was built in 1908 but has become redundant since a new £19m concert hall opened. There were initially plans to turn it into a shopping centre, but the developers were unable to attract enough viable tenants. Despite its Category B status, Perth Council have submitted plans to demolish the building to create a new open space between St John's Shopping Centre and St John's Kirk.
