Narrow alley that links Black Lion Street to Market Street. Originally known as St Bartholomews Lane the name was changed to commemorate Nelson's victory against the French in 1798. The large buildings to the left were built in the late 1980s in a development that included the pedestrianisation of the street. Those on the right are by and large the rear of a number of restaurants that front onto Prince Albert Street.
