This fine tomb-monument by Rysbrack commemorates the distinguished politician and royalist Sir Edward Seymour who died at Bradley House in 1707/8. He was twice Speaker of the House of Commons during the Restoration's 'Cavalier Parliament', and held other important positions in government during the reign of Charles II and King James.
