View northward, by the big Harrods furniture repository, from Stewarts Lane Locomotive Yard - the Depot is behind photographer - in the complex of SR lines near Queens Road (Battersea) station: the bridge shown is carrying the ex-LB&SCR South London line (Victoria - London Bridge), Wandsworth Road being the next station off to the right. The freight is hauled by an LMS-type Ivatt 4MT 2-6-0, No. 43121 (built 8/51, withdrawn 11/67); on the right is an ex-SE&C class C 0-6-0.
