Though derelict for 15 years, the former Ebenezer Welsh Independent Chapel, Dunraven Street, Tonypandy retains an eye-catching elegance in this view taken in late October 2011. It is next door to Tonypandy Police Station. http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2668734 The Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales website states that the chapel "was built in 1868, modified in 1873 and again in 1892. The present chapel is built in the Classical style with a gable-entry plan, two storeys, flanking towers and leaded round-headed windows. By 1996 this chapel had fallen into disuse but Ebenezer is Grade 2 Listed as one of the finest chapels in the Rhondda and with exceptionally rich interior fittings." Grade II* listed in May 1978.
