View westward from the footbridge from Waterloo Main Station, towards Charing Cross: ex-SE&CR main line. The 15.08 Charing Cross - Deal (via Tonbridge, Ashford, Folkestone and Dover) is headed by SR rebuilt Bulleid Light Pacific No. 34027 'Taw Valley' (built 4/46 as No. 21C127, rebuilt 9/57, withdrawn 8/64) but 'preserved' on the Severn Valley Railway as No. 34045 'Ottery St Mary'.
