Before Electrification and re-signalling this was the view from the overbridge. The signal box which controlled these signals did not last much longer being shut during October 1979 just over a year after this picture was taken. Note the railway junction which allows services to cross from the fast lines to the slow lines. The express is heading for St Pancras.
