As befitting of the old GWR, this viaduct is not just a simple piece of architecture. As passengers leave Bath Spa bound for Bristol, the handsome stonework is there to impress them. The main road (A36) runs around the piers in a roundabout fashion underneath, and now isolates the small 'under the arches' rooms. Only pigeons seem to be resident now.
