View northward, out of the terminus: ex-GC Marylebone - Leicester and the North main line. During the 1948 Exchange Trials (see Image]), 'West Country' No. 34006 'Bude' (built 7/45 as 21C106, withdrawn 3/67), fitted temporarily with an LMS tender with water-scoop, arrives at Marylebone heading the 08.25 from Manchester (London Road) via Sheffield, on trial with dynamometer-car.
