This elegant 19th C Italianate villa was built in 1859, subsuming a slightly earlier dwelling. The name is an Anglicised form of 'Pant-y-Curyll' (valley of the sparrow hawk). Nowadays the 'country house hotel' is a comfortable and friendly place to stay. See: http://www.thefalcondale.co.uk/home/history
