A range of buildings which were part of Sir John Gladstone's benefactions to Leith, comprising a boys' school and girls' school and a 'Female Asylum for Incurables' (on the left). The benefactor is remembered by the name of 'Gladstones' pub in a converted carpet warehouse at the head of the lane. Image
