Having been to most of the famous viewpoints in Greater London, I feel the little-known view from Dawson's Hill in East Dulwich seen here is one of the best of them all, mainly because of the unobstructed nature and wide range of the panorama. My other main contenders would be Alexandra Palace, Norwood Grove, Primrose Hill, Addington Hills, The Point on Blackheath, Pollards Hill and Havering-atte-Bower by the water tower. Although good, none of them in my opinion quite match up. In this photograph, the hills of Highgate and Hampstead are on the right skyline beyond the British Telecom Tower, whilst on the far left skyline is Harrow-on-the-Hill beyond the chimneys of Battersea Power Station.
