Wandsworth Cemetery in Magdalen Road was opened in 1878, and was extended in 1898. Further room for new burials was created in the 1980s by banking up earth along the western edge beside the railway. It is a long, wedge-shaped cemetery, steadily rising up the hill alongside Magdalen Road. This is at the lower end near Earlsfield station looking up one of the main paths.
