The name of the field according to Litlington's 1845 tithe map. Much of the field has been lost to four houses and their large gardens all of whom retain part of the field name in their titles; The Ham, Little Ham, Wold Ham and North Ham. the roof of the second named is in view whilst beyond the field drops down towards the Cuckmere flood plain.
