Former St. Mary's Church from East Claremont Street

The distinctive spire of the former St. Mary's Church, built in 1824-25, with some of the Castle's buildings seen behind (through a haze of smoke I assumed was coming from a garden fire). It was designed by Thomas Brown who was also the architect of Trinity House in Leith. It became Broughton St Mary’s Church in 1992 after merging with the Broughton McDonald Church.
